Dragon Teeth

I slither among the oblivious, pitiless, with a penchant for the finer things in life like oil painting and biting. An inferno of oral fixation leaves behind fodder for the whispered gossip of house wives. Glass in the orbital sockets reflects only me on my own, all alone. I have a penchant for the finer things in life, like artisanal cheese and children’s screams. It’s losing time again.

Small Town Ritual Abuse

Hey friend. What happened to you since we last met? You were bleeding from the head, asking why I hate you. I was covered in blood. All I could think of was hepatitis while the past was waiting like a praying mantis. Here I go being depressing again. There I go talking about myself again. Better dead than born into the withdrawal hole. Just because you were there don’t mean you’ll be remembered. Here I go being depressing again, there I go talking about myself again. I remember it like it was yesterday. She opened herself up to the both of us. We didn’t know it at the time: she was a sacrifice. She died at the tender age of 18 in a hotel room downtown. Small town music scenes are really just ineptly run sex cults. Maybe I died that night and I’ve been living my version of hell ever since? A fine line between working class and white trash. It felt good at the time, but I hated myself in the morning. Connecting the dots between the trailer parks, scriptures of self abuse. I know, it feels like a nightmare.
